Spirit + Commitment
Our values
We pride ourselves on being smart, hard-working, and compassionate attorneys. And we are absolutely committed to fighting for your rights. These values stem from our journey forming Hennessy Kruse LLP.
Our partnership
Our partnership began as first-year law students at the University of Colorado where we both graduated in the top of our class, Order of the Coif. In that time, we excelled together academically and competitively, bringing home First Place Brief in a national moot court competition presided over by Justice Alito of the United States Supreme Court.
After law school, Stephen started his career as a litigation associate at a big law firm in Denver. Mirko clerked for the Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court. As we continued to excel in our careers, we began to question whether practicing under the traditional law firm model was the best way for us to pursue justice, serve clients, and deliver results.
Leaving behind comfortable jobs, we decided to strike our own paths and start solo practices serving our respective communities. After the Marshall Fire ravaged Boulder County, Stephen helped survivors overcome obstacles manufactured by powerful insurance companies and corporate landlords. Mirko helped farmers and local governments navigate Colorado’s increasingly complex barriers to using one’s water rights.
Starting a law practice from scratch is not easy. But having a smart friend with good judgment makes it rewarding and fun. For nearly a decade, we have shared a spirit for the law and a commitment to our work.
Our clients
Our clients are homeowners, farmers, local governments, employees, and consumers. We are not intimidated by powerful wrongdoers and the big money they throw at their lawyers.
We have helped our clients vindicate their rights. We have helped each other launch our practices. And now, we have committed ourselves to the principle that, together, there is no good fight we cannot win.
